MONTRAIL ULTRA CUP GUIDELINES
- Participant must finish 4 out of the 7 MUC races
- Point system weighs the different event lengths (50K, 50 mile, 100K, 100 mile)
- Participant must finish the 2008 WS 100 (WS 100 is a double points race)
- Top female and male Ultra Cup winners awarded at the 2008 Western States. $10,000 in total Ultra Cup prizes (retail value). ALL series finishers receive gifts from Montrail.
WESTERN STATES QUALIFIER GUIDELINES
The top-three male and female winners in each of the MUC 2008 WS 100 qualifying events will be granted special consideration entry into WS. When a qualifying opportunity is filled by an individual and that individual subsequently finishes in the top three of any of the remaining qualifying events, the opportunity will not roll down to lower placed finishers, but will expire in that remaining event.
Top-three winners, male and female, at the Sunmart 50 Mile, Way Too Cool 50K, American River 50 and Miwok 100K must apply and submit their WS entry within two weeks of the qualifying event. The entry must be received at the WS office within this two-week period.
WS entry forms can be requested from the WS Race Director at wser100@comcast.net or (916) 387-8796. Each winner must fill out an entry form, pay the entry fee and fulfill the eight-hour service requirement. The Service Requirement Form can be found at: http://www.ws100.com/serviceform.htm. Entry form and entry fee must be received within two weeks of qualifying event.
Way Too Cool 50K opportunity winners must have completed a WS qualifying run between Oct. 1, 2006 and May 1, 2008.
